Need an owners manual for your electric Nissan Leaf? We have several below. The Leaf is Nissan’s first completely electric car and is a five-door hatchback that was rolled out in December 2010. It was given a range of 73 miles for the 2011/2012 models and 75 miles for the 2013 model by the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States.
Electric cars have what is called miles per gallon gasoline equivalent (MPGe) as opposed to MPG. For the 2011/2012 models, the fuel economy is 106 MPGe city / 92 MPGe highway for a combined 99 MPGe; the 2013 model has 130 city MPGe / 102 highway MPGe for a combined 115 MPGe.
The 2013 Nissan Leaf has three different trims –S, SV, and SL– which all come with a 80 kW AC synchronous electric motor with a 24 kWh lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery. Among it’s many awards are the 2011 World Car of the Year and the 2010 Green Car Vision Award.
