The Dodge Avenger was produced from 1995 – 2000 as a mid-sized coupe. It returned as a sedan in 2008 and introduced with a commercial showing a Chrysler technician playing “Smoke on the Water” by shifting Avenger transmissions.
We have Avenger owner’s manuals for the second Avenger release, which was introduced in 2008.
The first Avengers were available with a 2.0 L engine and either a manual or automatic transmission. A 2.5 L V6 was also available but only with the automatic.
A Sport model was offered in 1997. Additional features such as ABS, passenger airbags, rear disk brakes, vapor recovery system and various color/interior options were added during the production run.
The return of the Avenger as a four door sedan brought new options. The base engine is the GEMA I4 2.4 “World Engine”. A 2.7 L is available for the SXT and the R/T can carry a 3.5 L V6. Other options include a heated/cooled cup holder and a glove compartment cooler that will chill canned beverages.
Your Avenger owner’s manual is available by model year as a PDF. Availability changes so check back often if you don’t see it listed.
