The Chrysler Sebring was sold from 1995 to 2010 by Chrysler. Three generations were available during these years. Here is a look at those three generations of this great mid-sized car.
From 1995 to 2000 was the first generation of the Chrysler Sebring. They replaced the Chrysler LeBaron and the coupe was based on the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Engines during the year 1995 included a 2.0 liter Chrysler 2.0 DOHC inline 4 cylinder and a 2.5 liter Mitsubishi 6G73 V6. From 1996 to 2000 the Mitsubishi engine was still available while the inline 4 cylinder was upgraded to a 2.4 liter EDZ.
The second generation lasted from 2001 to 2006. The LX, LXi, base model, Touring, Limited Edition, Signature Series, Walter P. Chrysler Series, and the TSi were different trim options available. The convertibles sported a 2.4 liter inline 4 cylinder and a 2.7 liter v-6. The Sebring Coupes of these years featured a 2.4 liter Mitsubishi 4G64 inline 4 or a 3.0 liter Mitsubishi 6G71 V6.
The third generation, spanning from 2007 to 2010, featured the base, LX, Touring, Limited AWD, and Limited trim levels. Many engines were available including a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder, 2.7 liter EER V6, and a 3.5 liter EGF V6. It was then replaced by the Chrysler 200 in 2011.
