The Chevrolet Monte Carlo first originated in 1970 as a counterpart to the Pontiac Grand Prix, and was discontinued in June of 2007. It’s 2000s-era vehicles came as Coupes with 3.4-3.9L Flex Fuel V6 engines under the models LS-LTZ. They also had a special SS model with a 5.3: V8 Engine. They were popular cars and over 420,000 of them were produced in the 2000s.
The Pontiac Grand Prix is still seen as the car to compare it to, however it can also be compared to the Buick Lacrosse and Chevy’s own Impala. These are excellent 2-door Coupes that can get you anywhere you need to go, and have always been revered by NASCAR drivers.
